Starting a project from scratch is hard with Cursor. I recommend starting with a tool like v0 first to create your project scaffolding.

The upgrade and the code will expire on Friday, so use it today! Each credit will upgrade accounts to Premium and give $20 in v0 credits.

Go to v0 billing.
Scroll down to “Redeem a Usage Code” and click Redeem Code.

The code is: DWVC25.

Visit Prompts to try and try your first prompt with v0.

Type any prompt you want in v0! You can also try multiple times until you get something that you are excited to iterate on.

This is what I got with my prompt. Check out prompt ideas in Prompts to try.

Continue prompting until you get a solid foundation for your app. It’s really up to you when you’re ready to move it into Cursor. Cursor tends to be more powerful and offers more flexibility for the model you can use.
Download ZIP.
Open the ZIP on your computer.
Move the folder to a new home. I usually put all my development projects in a /projects folder on my computer. Do not put it inside any of the previous GitHub repositories you have created.
Open Cursor. If you do not see the window below, do Cmd Shift N to open a new window.

Click Open project and select the project folder to open it.
